A research-and-policy practice built around credibility, discretion and usable evidence.
Gurjas Evidence and Policy Analytics is a women-led micro enterprise established to offer serious research support without compromising academic integrity.
Who we are
Gurjas combines social-science depth, advanced quantitative methods, policy relevance and institutional documentation into clear, decision-ready outputs. We were founded on a simple observation: institutions and researchers across India and beyond need analytical support that meets international academic standards, delivered with the discretion and accountability of a professional practice.
Our work is designed for universities, colleges, NGOs, CSR teams, researchers, policy actors and development organisations that need credible analysis, defensible documentation and publication-oriented research guidance. Every engagement is anchored in the team's own peer-reviewed publication record — in journals indexed in Scopus, Web of Science and the ABDC list — so that the standards we advise on are standards we have met ourselves.
Mission
To deliver rigorous, ethical, evidence-based research that helps institutions, scholars and policy actors make better decisions — converting data, field experience and scholarship into outputs that withstand academic, policy and stakeholder scrutiny.
Vision
To become a globally respected, independent evidence and policy organisation: small in footprint, international in standard, and trusted for the integrity of its methods as much as the clarity of its findings.
Core values
- Evidence before opinion. Claims are grounded in data, method and citation — or they are not made.
- Integrity without exception. No ghostwriting, no fabricated results, no guaranteed outcomes. Our governance framework is public.
- Methodological transparency. Analytical choices are documented and defensible at every step.
- Discretion. Client data and institutional materials are treated as confidential by default.
- Capability building. We prefer to leave clients more capable than we found them — through mentoring, documentation and reproducible workflows.
How we work
Engagements begin with a clearly framed research question and end with a decision-ready output. In between, we apply a documented pipeline — design, evidence, analysis, decision — described on our methodology page. We work remotely with clients across India, Canada and globally, and we describe client-specific engagements publicly only with prior consent.

Operational leadership, strengthened by independent advice.
Gurjas is founder-led, with methodological responsibility anchored in the peer-reviewed record of the Principal Consultant & Chief Methodologist. Alongside this operating structure, the practice is building a wider international advisory network to introduce experienced, independent perspective across disciplines and jurisdictions.
The network is being expanded selectively—not to assemble decorative affiliations, but to deepen comparative understanding, widen access to specialist perspective and keep the practice responsive to research and policy environments beyond a single institution or country.
