Mark Evidenced only when the record exists and can be located. “Not applicable” is not a shortcut; use it only when you can explain why the control does not apply.

01 · Decision definition

The question, intended user and decision to be informed are written in one testable statement.

02 · Authority and source register

Current rules, definitions, literature or official sources are saved with access dates and ownership.

03 · Access, ethics and confidentiality

Data or record access, consent, ethics approval, confidentiality and permitted use are resolved.

04 · Operational definitions

Constructs, variables, indicators, evidence fields and exclusions are defined before interpretation.

05 · Design and coverage logic

Sampling, comparison, case selection or record-coverage logic—and likely blind spots—are documented.

06 · Analysis or synthesis plan

The analysis, verification or synthesis plan was written before inspecting the decisive result.

07 · Provenance and change control

Files, versions, transformations, decisions and responsible owners can be traced.

08 · Interpretation and decision boundary

Uncertainty, limitations, decision owner and the point for independent review are stated.

Method and limitations

Method version 1.1 · reviewed 20 July 2026. This is an unweighted Gurjas control inventory derived from the evidence lifecycle described on our Methods and Ethics Charter pages. It groups self-reported states into a gap register; it does not calculate readiness, risk probability or likely success.

Not checked: whether an uploaded or claimed record exists, domain-specific completeness, legal or ethics approval, current regulatory requirements, statistical adequacy, evidence quality or decision-maker acceptance. “Not applicable” answers are listed separately in the copied record and must be justified outside this tool.
